Terms of Service

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use NihonFlow.
• Give a working email address and keep your password to yourself.
• An account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under it.

Plans and billing

• Starter (free). 90 lessons from your chosen starting level, one new lesson a day, with 5 AI Sensei messages a day. No card needed.
• Pro. $12 a month or $96 a year, billed in advance through Stripe. Pro renews automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time in Settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, we don’t refund partial periods. If you were charged by mistake or something went wrong, email us and we will put it right.
• If prices change, we will tell you before your next renewal.

AI Sensei

AI Sensei answers are generated by AI (Claude, by Anthropic) and can be wrong. Treat them as a study aid, not as an authority. Sensei is for learning Japanese, and its use is subject to daily and fair-use limits. Don’t try to make it do anything else or get around its limits.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• share your account, or resell or republish NihonFlow lessons, audio, or illustrations;
• scrape, copy, or download the course in bulk, or reverse-engineer the service;
• disrupt the service, probe it for weaknesses, or access other learners’ data;
• use NihonFlow to break the law or to harass anyone.

Content

The course, audio, illustrations, and software belong to NihonFlow. We give you a personal, non-commercial right to use them while your account is open. What you write (your answers and your messages to AI Sensei) stays yours. You let us store and process it to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and availability

We are always improving NihonFlow, so features and lessons may change. We work to keep it running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free.

Ending your account

You can stop using NihonFlow at any time. To delete your account, email us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why.

Disclaimers and liability

NihonFlow is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance. This doesn’t take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date above. For significant changes, we will email you before they take effect.
